The fire is already within.
We are born with the glow already within us. People can walk beside us. They can challenge us, teach us, love us, and help us see what we cannot yet see.
But no one can do our work for us.
The becoming is yours.
There is no straight line to becoming
My life has been a collection of things I planned, things I absolutely did not, people I’ve loved, losses that changed me, risks I’ve taken, mistakes I’ve made, and more than a few times I’ve had to figure out what comes next.
Somewhere in all of that I became a teacher. Then a leader.A therapist, A business owner. A coach. An author.
But the titles aren’t really the interesting part.
The interesting part is what I’ve learned about the people along the way.

The work has taken me places I never expected.
Over the years, I ‘ve had the opportunity to work across mental health, education, juvenile justice, community programs, leadership and organizational change.
The work has taken me from individual conversations to teams, organizations and communities. Different spaces.
My gift is seeing the whole person. I see their light, and we don’t have to erase the dark. We can use the light that is already smoldering to IGNITE!
And on the way other have seen me too.

I’ve spent a lot of years doing this work, but I don’t believe experience means you arrive somewhere and suddenly have it all figure out. I’m still learning. Still getting things wrong. Still changing my mind. Still asking better questions. Still building things I couldn’t have imaged a few years ago
And I hope that never changes.
